Today Sandymere have been wearing their odd socks to school.

This is a lovely opportunity for the children to celebrate how we are unique to one another and how we can be kind to other children who might be different to us.

This afternoon we discussed ways we are unique to each other and played an emotions board game in pairs. The children then designed their own pair of odd socks.

This week the children have completed their phonics screening check with Miss Hume, the results of this have been passed onto you via email. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

This week in RE we have been looking at the holy bible. We are really lucky to have Reverend Angela visit us each week to hold a collective worship so the children have been interested in the stories she has been telling us. The children enjoyed looking through the school copies of the bible.

Thank you to all the children who have been sending homework in each week, we spent some time looking at the homework pieces this afternoon.

A reminder that we have reqested that children’s Nativity costume is in school for Friday 6th December.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.

Miss Hume, Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Dodd
