This week the children made their own disgusting sandwich.

We provided the children with a range of disgusting ingredients such as slime, soil, leaves and cold baked beans and then they made their own creation. The children really enjoyed making the sandwiches; there was lots of laughter throughout!

We then spent the rest of the week writing a recipe for our disgusting sandwiches, thinking about using imperative verbs and adverbs to add detail to our instructions as well as making them interesting for the reader.

In maths this week we’ve been continuing with our addition and subtraction topic and the children have been introduced to some written methods to support them with their work.

On Friday it was lovely to spend some time looking at all the children’s fantastic homework pieces, especially the habitats that children have worked so hard on. These link brilliantly to our science topic and really demonstrate children’s understanding of habitats.

A reminder that the children’s nativity costumes need to be in school on Friday. Thank you!
