We can’t quite believe it but that’s the first term in Year 2 finished!

What a fantastic and busy term it’s been in Sandymere. We’re so proud of all the children have achieved this term and we’re so excited to see what the spring term will bring us!

This week we started the week off with a lovely visit to see Father Christmas and there was even snow! The children really enjoyed this and it was lovely to see them so excited about it.

This week we also shared with you our 2020 Nativity, which we hope you enjoyed watching at home with the family. A different Nativity this year but the children still worked really hard to learn all of the songs and their lines.

In our lessons this week we’ve sprinkled some Christmas cheer and enjoyed linking Christmas to our learning in both literacy and maths. In our RE lesson we wrote the Nativity story in our own words and created images to go with it.  We’ve been making some moving Christmas cards this week, using lolly pop sticks and card, that the children are looking forward to bringing home tomorrow afternoon to share with you.

The Sandymere staff would like to say a big thank you to all the parents for the generous gift we have received, it’s very much appreciated. Thank you!

We hope everyone has a lovely and safe Christmas!
