This week Sandymere have taken part in some workshops, which have been really exciting.

We all really enjoyed the artist research on Wednesday followed by the dance session in the afternoon. Then on Thursday we took part in a storytelling workshop with an author. They were all lots of fun and it was brilliant to see how engaged and motivated the children were to take part.

In Literacy this week we finished writing our non-chronological reports about how to take care of pets, it was great to read so many different way to take care of a range of pets.

In maths we started looking at Fractions and even though it seemed a little tricky at the start of the week the children worked really hard and by Friday everyone was really confident to find fractions of amounts.

Thank you for sending in snow pictures last week! It was lovely to see everyone having so much fun in the snow. What a week of weather it was.

All of the resources for next week will be live on Google Classroom at 4pm today. We have tried to reduce the amount of printing needed, some activities children will need paper and pencils for and others could be completed on a separate piece of paper if needed. Make sure to also keep an eye out on the stream section of Google Classroom for additional challenges and activities from a range of staff in school such as cooking videos from Harry the Chef, healthy eating challenges from Mrs Lloyd and collective worships from Mrs Garner and more!

Thank you for your continued support with the home learning.

We hope you have had a lovely weekend.

Miss Hume, Mrs Lloyd and Mrs Dodd
