Sports Update 16/02/18

We have had another really exciting and busy week of PE and Sports at Delamere with lots of children taking part in sports events and even a visit from an England International Cricket player!

Our school football team continue to have an excellent season with a great win away against a very good Dodleston team. In a very end to end game, our team eventually ran out as 5-3 winners with five different scorers! Special mention must go to our Man of the Match Louis for his fantastic performance and really well taken goal! This win secured our teams qualification into the Chester Primaryship Champions Tournament in May!

Sports Update 09/02/18

This week we have continued our excellent link with the other schools within the Academy Trust by taking part in two sporting events. On Tuesday Mr Freeman organised a Year 4 Handball festival in which Delamere ran out as winners and on Wednesday a group of our Year 2 children where lucky enough to go to Delamere Forest for an Orienteering competition.

Sports Update 02/02/18

This week the children in KS2 have continued to work on their netball skills. This weeks focus was working as a team to keep possession of the ball using a variety of passes. The children then put these skills into practice through a modified version of netball called 'end ball.'

Sports Update 26/01/18

There was more success on the sporting front this week with our Netball team winning the Year 3&4 Sandstone Sports Partnership Netball competition at Tarporley High School. The team played fantastically well winning all of their games meaning we successfully retained the trophy we won last year. Well done girls!!

Sports Update 19/01/18

This week was our Disability Sports Awareness week in PE. During their PE lessons our KS2 children learnt to play Sitting Volleyball with Mr Freeman and on Friday we were lucky enough to have England International player Martin Beddis come into school to teach the children Wheelchair Rugby.
