Welcome to PIP

Welcome to The Delamere C of E Primary Academy School PIP (Parents in Partnership). On this page you will find information about who we are, what we do, future fundraising events and how YOU can get involved.

Last year, we raised over £7,500. This money really does make a difference to the school and enables children to experience an enriched curriculum through the purchase of additional resources, which are not available within the standard school budget.

All parents, carers, guardians and staff are automatically members of Delamere C of E Primary Academy PIP and are welcome to attend meetings. If you want to have your say in where this money is allocated to benefit YOUR children – GET INVOLVED!

The Friends of Delamere PIP committee is elected annually at the AGM, run the meetings and coordinate the events.

Everyone is welcome to PIP meetings so please come along if you can. We know timings can be difficult, so if you can't make the meetings but would still like to be involved in planning or helping at an event then let us know.

Summer fair and Beer festival

Thank you to everyone who attended the school summer fair on Friday and the fantastic beer festival on Saturday. Another huge thank you to everyone that helped make the evening a success, every one who helped organise the evening, sponsored the evening and dontated amazing raffle prizes. Updates shortly on how much money has been raised.

Easter egg hunts and famous landmark competition

We've had a fantastic day today with our whole school egg hunt and the amazing egg decorations completed by the children. Thank you to all who came to watch the egg rolling this afternoon.

Fundraising this term!

We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to all who have got involved with fundraising this term.  We really do appreciate the efforts all the parents make in giving time, money, cakes, Easter eggs or ideas.  It is impressive to mention that just in the past week we have raised £75 on uniform sales, £52 on music night refreshments, over £375 from Easter Bingo, £150 from the Thornton’s eggs plus money from the refreshments sold today. Well done all.

Next term we have tuckshops, uniform sales, bags2school collections, discos, beer festival and the summer fair all in the diary already and a few more ideas in the pipeline.  To hit the ground running we are having an evening PIP meeting at The Vale Royal Abbey Arms from 7.30 on Thursday the 20th April (first week back after the holidays) to predominantly discuss the Beer Festival and potential fashion show.  It would be helpful to know who plans to come so that we can reserve an area please. Have a great holiday.

Sandymere tuck shop and Mother's day flowers

Thank you to all who supported Sandymere’s tuck shop after school today and brought in chocolate eggs for the bingo prizes. I hope all the mums like their gift. A massive thank you to Gleaves Garden Centre and Builders Merchants from Frodsham for their kind donation of plants. If ordering flowers or gifts online for Mothering Sunday don’t forget www.easyfundraising.org.uk which is a great way of raising funds. For example, 3% back from Interflora, 4% from Next Flowers and 5% from Flowers Direct.

Parents Evening and Sciene Night

Thank you so much to the parents of Nunsmere and Oakmere for their delicious cakes which helped to raise a fantastic £161 over the Parents’ Evenings and Science Night. It is also lovely to have people come forward with some fresh ideas for future fundraising ideas so thanks also.

This week, we are also looking for just 4 companies to advertise on the back of our music night programme on the 29 March. (This would be around 74mm x 105mm). This is for a donation to the school and the top 4 pledges win the space this time. We can help with artwork if required.
