Lots of exciting PE and Sports activities have been taking place in school this week. We started the week with our Lower KS2 and Upper KS2 Netball teams continuing their impressive form in their Chester Netball Leagues. Our Year 5/6 team playing two matches winning one and loosing the other and our Year 3/4 team remaining undefeated with an excellent team performance against Waverton.

On Wednesday we travelled to St Martin's Academy to take part in another fantastic Academy Trust Master Class session, this time it was Break Dancing. Here a group of our children along with children from the other schools within the Academy Trust worked with expert coach Leon to develop their Break Dancing skills with the session culminating in the children performing a routine.

Also this week it was the Year 5/6 Cross Country event at Tarporley High School. Despite the wet and miserable conditions as usual we had a fantastic turn out with all the children representing the school outstandingly and showing real determination t complete this long distance race. Special mention to Ruby (Pickmere) who won a Bronze medal!

In PE this week the children have taken part in a range of sports with our infants developing their tag-rugby skills and our juniors taking part in dance and netball.

A reminder that next Friday is Sport Relief and all of the children will be taking part in an Inter-House Dodgeball Competition within their classes. Please remember to send your child in with a coloured top to match their house colours (Hedgehogs - GREEN, Squirrels - BLUE, Foxes - RED, Owls - YELLOW)

Have a good weekend.

Mr F.
