It has been a very busy last couple of weeks with our children taking part in sports competitions and attending trips.

Last week our Girls Cricket team represented Chester at the Cheshire County Cricket Finals at Warrington Cricket Club. The standard of cricket was very high throughout the day with our girls finishing as County Runners Up, a fantastic achievement! I was most impressed with our teams performance as well as their excellent sportsmanship and positive attitude throughout the competition.

Also last week a group of our KS2 children went to the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool to watch the Netball World Cup. This was a very inspiring experience for the children to witness these elite level Netballers. We were even lucky enough to see the World Number 1 team (Australia) in action!

Despite it being the very last week of the academic year there was still time to take part in a sports competition as our team competed in the Chester School Sports Association Swimming Gala. Competing against 22 other schools our team won a host of individual medals in events including the freestyle, backstroke and mixed relay and where then crowned overall winners! A great way to sign off from another successful year on sporting front.

A hope you all have a great summer!

Mr F.
