Sports Update 08/03/19

We have again been busy on the sporting front this week. On Monday, some of our Year 4's took part in the NWA Trust Water Polo Competition at Chester City Baths. This is a fantastic event which allows the children to experience some friendly competition. The children got better and better with each game, and thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a brand new sport.

Sports Update 01/03/19

We have had a very busy first week back after half term with the children moving on to new activities. In preparation for some football festivals taking place in over the next few weeks Hatchmere, Oakmere and Sandymere have been developing their football skills focussing on dribbling with control and passing with accuracy. Our mini kickers all gave 100% in these lessons and enjoyed learning some new skills.

Sports Update 15/02/19

This week some of our infants and our Year 6 House Captains took part in the annual NWA Trust House Orienteering competition at Delamere Forest. This is always a fantastic event with six of our Trust schools taking part this year. The overall winners where the Hedgehogs!

Sports Update 08/02/19

This week the children have been working hard in a variety of activities in PE. Our infants have continued to develop their hockey skills and have started to play some small sided hockey games. During these game the children have shown they are able to work together as a team and are starting to develop an understanding of the different rules.

Sports Update 25/01/19

A highlight this week was our KS1 Handball team winning the Sandstone Sports Partnership Handball competition at Tarporley High School. Handball is a very popular sport at Delamere and the children really enjoy developing their skills during PE lessons. During this event our team played fantastically well, winning all of their games meaning we retained the trophy we won last year. Well done to all of the children involved.
