Oakmere Handball Competition
The children in Oakmere took part in an Intra-School Handball Competition today. This was an opportunity for the children to put all the skills they had learnt during this unit of work into a competitive situation.
Year 2 Handball Competition
We continued our 100% participation in all inter-school competitions through our involvement with the Chester and Tarporley School Sports Partnerships by entering a Handball team into the competition held at Tarporley High School.

Sandymere Handball Competition
The children in Sandymere took part in a Handball competition today. Working within their houses they played a number of competitive games against the other children in their class. There were lots of skills on show and plenty of goals! The children also displayed excellent team work and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Learning all about character descriptions
This week in literacy we have been learning all about character descriptions we drew some wonderful pictures and have been annotating different descriptions. We have been working on our understanding of different pieces of text which will help us with our comprehension.
Intra-School Competition – Tchoukball
This week in PE all the KS2 children took part in a Tchoukball Intra-School competition.
The children are still working hard!
Literacy
The children have been exploring speech in a variety of contexts and identifying inverted commas and punctuation in a known text. They have analysed the myths- Theseus and the Minotaur and Apollo and the Chimera. They looked at character descriptions, comparisons and retelling /sequencing the myths. This is in preparation for writing their own myth and legend tale in the next two weeks.
