All schools have children who may require additional support at stages in their lives. This may be short term or longer term. All children need to feel safe and secure in the environment in which they learn, and at the Academy we work incredibly hard to make sure that every child achieves their best. We treat all children as individuals and make sure that their education is tailored to their needs. Our teachers are excellent and work extremely hard with all children in their care. We also have school SENCo in Miss Hume; If you would like to discuss your child's needs with her please do not hesitate to contact the school or Miss Hume direct on the following email This email address is being protected from spambots. Information on all local authority services can be found in the IAS service overview at the bottom of the page, also particulars of educational and welfare provision for pupils with EHC plans can be found on our school SEND policy.

The school follows a compliant procedure (see complaints policy below ) and this will be followed for any SEND complaints. If you have a query or complaint regarding your child and their Special Educational Need please initially talk to your class teacher. This query will then be discussed and resolved by our Inclusion Manager. If you feel this issue has not been dealt with sufficiently or you still need further advice please inform the Head of School or Governing body.

The information below should also help you with some queries you may have.
