We can't believe how quickly the year has gone, they look very grown up in this photo!

This week we have been looking back at all the moments we have shared in our first school year together.  The children began by sitting in small groups to talk about times they have really enjoyed, including what they are looking forward to doing next year when they are in Year 1.  Each group then stood and took turns to say their favourite moments and recorded them on the large white board.  It was a very special moment to smile and chat about all the wonderful memories we have built together, the team felt very proud of how much the children have grown.

Next week will be our last full school week together and we have lots of fun activities for the children to enjoy, including monitoring our newly potted seeds!  The children are taking such good care of the tomato plants by checking on them each morning to see if they need any water and to also check for new green tomatoes and so decided to plant some vegetable seeds to grow and take home next week.

On our school trip last week Reverend Angela talked to the class about the new wildflower garden that is soon to be planted at the church.  The children were fascinated by these special and very beautiful flowers for the bees and wanted to make bee posters for the church and to also give a packet of wildflower seeds to add to the garden too.

We hope you all had a wonderful weekend,

Mrs Birks and Mrs Lathaen
