We have been so impressed with the children's writing in literacy this week.

They have shown that they are able to edit work independently and give some positive feedback to others. We have now completed our flashback work linked to 'A story like the wind' by Gill Lewis. Next week we will be moving on to doing some more editing and looking at some writing about rhinos so that we can enter a creative writing competition held by the BBC.

Our maths work has led us to look at different types of angles this week and next week we will move to working out missing angles on a straight line and missing angles within triangles.

In topic, Linmere have been learning about the different periods of time within music and have created their very own timeline to explain this. This has enabled them to understand more about the key vocabulary that will be part of this topic.

Charles Darwin was our focus in science this week and the children were able to write a short biography about his life, helping them to understand why he has been a big part of our evolution and adaptation topics. Over the next few weeks we will be moving on to learn about light and electricity.

Have a lovely bank holiday weekend.
