We have had a jam-packed last week of term here in Nunsmere.

The children have all loved another week of visiting the pool! As was the case with last week, we have had so many smiling faces as they have returned from their swimming sessions.

In maths this week we have been exploring different intervals of time ranging from seconds to years and the children have been using calendars to work out date problems.
Last week the children researched a music genre of their choice and this week they have had the opportunity to write a non-chronological report all about what they have found out! In grammar we have focussed on creating complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions.

In DT the children have been making pavilions! They have all worked so hard to make their structures and each of them look absolutely fantastic!

In topic this week the children have been an orchestra! They used their instruments and voices and a conductor could control the dynamics and pitch of each individual table!

We ended the week with a fantastic session delivered by the National Grid which was all about electrical circuits – the children loved creating lots of different circuits for many different scenarios (home, town and country wide circuits).

We have our upcoming residential after half term, which I know the children (and adults!) are all super excited for. Please refer to Google Classrooms for all the information regarding the trip.

Have a wonderful half term break,

Miss Bate and Mrs Campbell
