Welcome to PIP

 

 

 

The PTA is a group of parents, carers and staff who voluntarily run social events for parents and children and organise fundraising events. All parents are automatically members and we are really active. The money raised is used for the purpose of enriching life for the children at school, although we have also raised money for charity. 

For example, the PTA funded the purchase of MacBooks for the children to use, music and RE workshops, donations for Christmas and Easter events as well as sports kit for teams representing the school. A lot of the playground equipment was supported by the PTA.

You probably know about our Beer festival which is a popular local event. We also hold Christmas and Summer fairs, quiz nights, children’s discos, all with help and support from the teachers and staff as well as parents. We are open for any ideas for new events or activities and there is plenty of opportunity to get involved. Meetings are held on a regular basis so please let us know if you would like to be involved. 

We put all our news and events up on Classlist. It’s a free, safe, secure online community for the school where you can post questions and message other parents in your child’s class, house or to the whole school. It’s really useful for tracking down lost jumpers, organising play dates and checking the homework. It’s a good way to contact the PTA if you need to. 

Importantly for Delamere, PTA it is used for our second hand uniform sales. This is not the only way to buy – we do old fashioned sales as well – but it’s quick and easy and uniform can be sent home with your child in a day or so.

Classlist also enables you to share your contact details with other parents in the same year group.  You have full control over your privacy settings and can also join and use Classlist without sharing your contact details. It is GDPR compliant and you can start by going to www.classlist.com or searching for ‘Classlist’ in your App Store. 

 

 

 

 

Our annual Easter Bingo was hugely supported by pupils and parents where an 'eggstatic time' was shared by everyone. 

This event was followed by the Egg Rolling competition and the Desert Island Disc Egg Decorating competition.
The standard of entries were fantastic with over £200 from raffles and refreshments.
