Sports Update 16/10/20

This week was the competition week with the children taking part in sports competitions in cricket and multi-skills. The children demonstrated the skills they had been developing this first half term and also their competitive edge when representing their houses (Foxes, Hedgehogs, Squirrels & Hedgehogs). I was most impressed with the children's sportsmanship, team work and effort during this week. Well done!

Sports Update 09/10/20

The wet weather meant many of our PE lessons had to take place indoors. Due to this our Key Stage 2 classes took part in some Health Related Fitness lessons with a focus on fitness circuits. The children thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the different stations that tested their agility, balance, coordination, speed and stamina. 

Sports Update 02/10/20

In PE this week our Key Stage 2 children have started to work on their bowling technique and the role of the wicket keeper. They have also enjoyed taking part in a variety of cricket games including non-stop cricket and five bats.

Sports Update 18/09/20

It has been another busy week of PE lessons with the children working really hard on developing new skills. In Hatchmere, Oakmere and Sandymere the children have been working on tag-rugby skills such as passing, running with the ball and learning how to score a try!

Sports Update 11/09/20

It has been fantastic to see all the children back in school and enthusiastically taking part in their PE lessons. Hatchmere have settled really well into school and have been taking part in a variety of fun, active and inclusive games. In Key Stage 1 the children have been working hard on developing their fundamental movement skills with a focus on sending and receiving.
